Our sewn Answering code pennants are handcrafted to the highest standards using 100% nautical polyester. They are hard wearing, wind proof, colourfast and will not run when wet. All signal flags are reinfroced with double layered corners at the hoist and can be safely used in harsh maritime environment on sport yachts and boats. Every flag is supplied either with traditional UK rope & toggle, rope loops, metal eyelets or sleeve. Most popular code flag sizes are available to buy instantly. Code and answering pennant
The answering pennant is used as a decimal point when sending numeric data.
Close up (top of mast), the receiving vessel indicates she understands the hoist. At the end of the signal it indicates that the message is complete.
At dip (half masted), hoisted by the receiving vessel as each hoist of the transmitting ship is seen.
